What a useful message includes

To help a message land clearly, include the URL or the title of the article in question, the line or paragraph concerned, and, where one applies, the source a claim should be checked against. A correction might concern a stitch count, a yarn weight, an abbreviation or a charity size request. Article questions might cover how a pattern step is written or how a guide describes gauge. The more precise the message, the easier it is to connect it to the right page.

Two pages worth checking first

Before writing, two existing pages often answer the need. The crochet basics page covers stitches, gauge and pattern terms for beginners and returning crocheters. The pattern corrections page lists fixes already made to published articles, so an error may already be recorded there. This address does not handle magazine sales, subscriptions, back issue recovery or personal crochet help.
